1. Shipping & Delivery

1.1 How do you ship original paintings?

​

We offer different shipping methods for original paintings, based on their size and weight, to ensure safe and secure delivery:

​

  • Small-Sized Paintings  (up to 20 inches in any dimension) - These artworks on stretched canvases are shipped domestically within the United States (only), via United States Postal Service (USPS).

  • Medium-Sized Paintings (up to 36 inches in any dimension) -  These artworks on stretched canvases are professionally handled and shipped both domestically and internationally by our trusted art handling partner, Fine Art Shippers, based in New York City.

  • Large-Sized Paintings (Above 48 inches in any dimension) - Similar to medium-sized paintings, these artworks on stretched canvases are also professionally handled and shipped both domestically and internationally by Fine Art Shippers.

  • ARTWORKS ON UNSTRETCHED CANVASES: Paintings done on unstretched canvases, will be shipped domestically and internationally, within mailing tubes, via USPS, UPS, FedEx, and/or DHL.

1.2 How are shipping costs calculated?

​

Shipping costs and estimates can vary based on several factors:

​​

  • For Small-Sized Paintings (Domestic U.S. Only via USPS) - The shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based on the artwork's dimensions, weight, and your shipping address. You will see the final cost before completing your purchase.

  • For Medium and Large-Sized Paintings (Domestic and International via Fine Art Shippers) - The shipping cost for these artworks, is determined individually by Fine Art Shippers based on the specific dimensions, weight, destination, and required specialized packaging.

1.3 What is the process for shipping Medium and Large-Sized Paintings?

For medium and large artworks, we partner with Fine Art Shippers to ensure professional handling and secure delivery:

​​

  • Personalized Quote - After you purchase a medium or large-sized canvas, we will promptly contact Fine Art Shippers to obtain a detailed shipping quote for your specific location.

  • Quote Approval & Payment - We will then email you the shipping quote for your review and approval. Shipment will be arranged only once you approve the quote and the shipping fees are paid separately. We will discuss convenient payment methods for these fees.

  • Insurance - The shipping quote provided by Fine Art Shippers will include insurance coverage for the artwork during transit, offering added security for your purchase.

1.4 What are the estimated delivery timeframes?

​​

  • Small-Sized Paintings (Domestic U.S. via USPS) - We aim to process and ship small artworks within 7 business days of receiving your order. Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

  • Medium & Large-Sized Paintings (Domestic via Fine Art Shippers) - The estimated domestic delivery timeframe will vary depending on your location and Fine Art Shippers' schedule. We will provide an estimated timeframe once the shipment is arranged.

  • Medium & Large-Sized Paintings (International via Fine Art Shippers) - For international destinations, the estimated delivery timeframe begins from the moment the artwork is collected from our location in Washington D.C. Please allow approximately 3 to 6 weeks for delivery, depending on the destination country and customs procedures. This timeframe is an estimate and may be subject to delays beyond our control.

1.5 What about international orders for Medium and Large-Sized Artworks?

​​

For international art collectors, please be aware of the following:

​​

  • Customs Duties, Taxes, and Fees - As the buyer, you are solely responsible for paying any and all import duties, taxes (such as VAT), and other customs clearance fees imposed by your country's regulations. These charges are not included in the artwork price or the shipping quote provided by Fine Art Shippers.

  • Customs Procedures & Communication - Fine Art Shippers have expertise in handling necessary customs documentation. We will work with them to prepare required paperwork. However, you may need to provide additional information or documentation, required by your country's customs authorities; you will need to respond promptly to inquiries from customs officials, in order to avoid delivery delays.

1.6 Do you offer local pickup?

​​

Yes, we are pleased to offer the option for local pickup of your purchased artwork, directly from our location in Washington D.C. Please select the "Local Pickup" option at checkout. We will then contact you to arrange a convenient date and time for the pickup.

1.7 How are artworks packaged?

​​

We take great care in packaging all artworks, to ensure their safe transit. Small artworks shipped via USPS, are securely packaged with appropriate materials. Medium and large artworks handled by Fine Art Shippers, are professionally packed, using industry-standard materials and techniques designed for fine art transportation.

1.8 Important Shipping Notes:

​​

  • Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete, to prevent delays or additional charges.

  • Upon receiving your artwork, carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of damage before signing for the delivery. If you notice damage, please make a note of it, on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately. Please also take photographs of the damaged packaging and artwork.

2. Returns & Exchanges

2.1 What is your return policy for Original Artworks?

​​

Due to the unique and delicate nature of original artworks, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for original paintings.

​​

Each painting is a singular creation, meticulously crafted with the artist's intent and imbued with its own distinct character. The nuances of color, texture, and light can be subject to subtle variations depending on individual display settings and environmental factors. We strive to provide the most accurate and detailed imagery and descriptions possible, and we encourage you to carefully review these materials before making your purchase.

Furthermore, the handling and transit of original paintings carry inherent risks. To ensure the integrity and preservation of these precious works, we take great care in their packaging and shipment. For medium and large-sized paintings, professional art handling services will be subcontracted, in order to ensure safe delivery of your artwork.

2.2 What is your return policy for Tote Bags?

​​

  • Returns/Exchanges: You may return your unused item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund or exchange. To initiate a return or exchange, please contact us at dartedc2@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide you with instructions.

​​

  • Condition of Return: Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and with all original packaging.

​​

  • Return Shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

​​

  • Processing: Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund or exchange within 7-10 business days. Refunds will be credited to your original payment method.

2.3 What if my Tote Bag arrives damaged?

​​

If your tote bag arrives damaged, please contact us with photos of the damaged product within the initial week of delivery. We will gladly arrange for a replacement or a full refund; the damaged tote will need to be returned. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

2.4 Are there any final sale items for tote bags?

​​

Yes, please note that Sale Items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.
