This artwork is part of the series, “Love in the Time of Covid”, which was exhibited in Adams Morgan, Washington D.C. in February 2021.
The collection was inspired by conversations Dariana had with various people in her community, during the quarantine period at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. The titles of the artworks were directly taken from these conversations.
When viewed as a whole, the collection Love In The Time Of Covid, appears to the eye as a surreal collage that weaves individual experiences and desires, into a whole communal novella.
This painting was inspired by various conversations the artist had, with different people in her communities. Dariana served as confidant to confessionals, about all kinds of sexual fetishes that members of her community were getting into, with their quarantine buddies.
