This artwork is part of the series, “Love in the Time of Covid”, which was exhibited in Adams Morgan, Washington D.C. in February 2021.
The collection was inspired by conversations Dariana had with various people in her community. The titles of the artworks were directly taken from these conversations.
When viewed as a whole, the collection Love In The Time Of Covid, appears to the eye as a surreal collage that weaves individual experiences and desires, into a whole communal novella.
This painting was inspired by a conversation the artist had with two of her male friends, during the covid quarantine period. Both men described their vulnerabilities, in regards to coping mechanisms used to reduce the stress arising from the impact of the covid quarantine on their personal, professional and financial lives.
