Title: There Are Always Stars
This artwork is part of my ongoing collection titled, “Entering the Hyperspace”, inspired by the work of American ethnobotanist and visionary, Terence McKenna. All artworks in this collection are titled after quotes and sayings taken from McKenna’s lectures. I’m inspired by McKenna’s exploration of dimensional realms, through the use of entheogens that promote the expansion of consciousness.
In the context of Terence McKenna’s lectures, the notion that “there are always stars” can be interpreted as a metaphor for the enduring presence of mystery, beauty, and higher order in the universe—even amid chaos and confusion, or the dissolution of familiar reality through psychedelics. McKenna often emphasized that behind the veil of ordinary perception lies a deeper, luminous architecture of existence—timeless, cosmic, and ever-present.
